i know, i know. it’s been wayyyyyyyy too long! and i truly apologize for no updates in the last few months.
first of all, i hope everyone is having a great holiday so far! i am getting ready to go visit with pretty much every member of my family. i’m so excited to see everyone.
second…what a few months! most recent and also most important is the writers guild strike which is affecting every person in the entertainment industry, no matter what side someone is on. it’s an extremely unfortunate circumstance but also very, very necessary. i’ve been picketing for 6 weeks. we stopped picketing for the holidays yesterday. if you’d like to know more about it, you can check out www.wga.org or http://unitedhollywood.blogspot.com. both sites can fill you in on the struggle the writers in hollywood and ny are dealing with…
before the strike started, there was some great news to report! before i go, my debut novel, is in development to be a feature film! and YES! i am attached to play madison! it’s extremely exciting and as soon as the strike is over, we all look forward to moving ahead with the development and production. there are truly great people involved on the production side and i am very blessed.
more news on before i go…i now have a wonderful agent at the greatest agency repping my book and my future books. hopefully before i go will become available in paperback in 2008! and yes, for the people who ahve been asking about the next book….i’m working on it! or at the least, the decision on what book to write! it’s going to be another fiction book called “going nowhere” or a chick lit book called “i’m your girl”. the movie version of “i’m your girl” is already in the early stages to be a movie so keep your fingers crossed!
i also moved into a new house recently! that took just about all my energy for a few weeks but i am all settled and love my new home.
if you haven’t seen my internet series “being bailey” check it out! you can watch the first three episodes–about four minutes each– at www.beingbailey.com. we have interest from a big advertising company who might be investing in future episodes which would be great. it’s a realistic series about a girl starting high school … she’s not exactly sure she’s going to make it through the enxt four years of her life so she decides to document her potential demise on camera for all to see. the actors are fantastic and the production was wonderful. let me know what you think!
i’ve been working on my music recently so hopefully in the near future i’ll have some music posted on myspace and my website. keep checking back! also on myspace … new pictures!
hope you all have a truly magical holiday season full of miracles, perfect health and love.
love riley
